Afternoon Tea Party Poll
So I'm having an afternoon tea party at night on Thursday, with a possible tea tasting (I have a bunch of white, green, black, and fruit teas). I'm coming up with a menu, and I'm looking for some input! Being able to attend is not a requirement for voting in this poll. Go nuts! All opinions are welcome.

on a side note - can one vote for an item, say caramelized onion mini-quiche more than once? or chicken. I like chicken.

Yay, everyone likes cucumber!

This guy at work who's British says we gotta have clotted cream and scones and if we can find it, mincemeat tarts.

And I'm assuming this is gonna be the case, but these are gonna be crustless, right?

(In any case, all this food looks delicious to me and I'll eat whatever you put on the table :)).

Scones, clotted cream, strawberry jam, and lemon curd will be part of the menu :) Scones are a given, which is why they're not on the poll.

Mincemeat tarts, however, I'm not fond of at all - despite the name, mincemeat actually has preserved fruits as well as meat. Kind of like English fruitcake without the cake and with meat instead. It's always kind of weirded me out.

For the love of all that's good in the world, you must ignore Erin! Your lemon bars are awesome and I didn't get nearly enough last time and you haven't made them since. Erin - I know where you live and I swear I will kill you if Sam doesn't make lemon bars even if it's because every lemon in the world disappears into another dimension Wednesday night. Do you understand that I am not going to be rational about this at all? We were picking scraps off the foil! Oh, delicious lemon bars! (Also, I don't know if Halifax or Jay have voted, but they - and possibly Neener - were my cohorts in foil-picking, so you know they'd vote for lemon bars.) Down with Erin! Hooray lemon bars!

Yes, I'm sure Sam's lemonbars are delicious, as I think I've had them before. But I'd hate lemonbars to bump some new and interesting dessert off the list, since Sam makes lemonbars with some frequency. Also growing up in the midwest I assure you I was forced to eat lemonbar after lemonbar, some of which were made from lemonbar kits - and I much prefer almost any other dessert.

Although now I'm sure lemonbars will be made to spite me.

hey!!! just because I'm not there doesn't lessen my love for chicken and/or caramelized onions! also, lemon bars lemon bars! foil picking lemon bars! though now I'm thinking of retracting my vote just so she doesnt make them and evonne gets to kill you. It'd be funny. I hear she has centipedes at her command.

I don't know what language you speak, but in America, "once" is not the same as "with some frequency". Since I'm over at Sam's far more often than you are, I think I'm a far more reliable witness for Sam's cooking. In fact, pretty much only tcm and Neener (until she left) would have a better idea of what Sam cooks in general. At any rate, Sam's making the lemon bars so I win! Bwah ha ha!
